- Dams: MBB’s team of approved dam engineers use their experience to optimally site dams, taking into account the topography, geology and hydrology, together with water demand, social and environmental concerns, to optimise water storage.
- Weirs: The ideal position, size and orientation of a weir is central to its operational efficiency. Our engineers consider both capital and long-term operational aspects in their design, including structural stability, siltation management and environmental mitigation structures, such as fish ladders.
- Reservoirs: The design and construction of reservoirs is undertaken by attention to location, optimal sizing and the efficient utilisation of available building materials. These range from brick and ferro-cement to large reinforced concrete or steel structures.
